Device Condition Definitions

As a registered second-hand dealer in Victoria, we ensure the prompt handling of your device.

If the device matches the description provided, you will receive the quoted price displayed on our website. Additionally, you have the option to request the return of your device for free (terms and conditions apply).

We will assess your device within 8 business hours. If you're satisfied with the assessment price, we'll transfer the payment to your nominated account by the end of the business day.

If you require urgent payment, please contact us, and our team will assist accordingly.

We buy any electronic devices, ranging from laptops, phones and iPads.

We always send our customer updates if we are able to, but sometimes we might miss them. 

Please check your spam or Junk folders, and contact us if you still do not receive them.

All the information we ask for, when you place your order is essential for us to process your order and keep you upto date.
We do not sell, rent or otherwise pass on any of your details to other parties.


No postage payment is required on your part. We offer free postage and free returns if you are dissatisfied with the assessment price.

*Please note that return postage fees may apply for devices received with activation locks, incorrect specifications, or incorrect manufacturing years.

Please select your model and complete the sales order, you will then have options for a satchel to be sent out to you.
Please send your device(s) within 14 days of creating your sell order. 

Expired orders will need to be resubmitted

If you are worried your device might be lost during transit, you can purchase insurance cover with Australia post. 

*Please note, we do not cover any additional insurance costs. 

Our system will send you an email notification once we have received your device. 

It should take approximately 2-6 business days to be delivered to
us.  With remote regional areas, parcels can typically take up to 7 - 10 business days to arrive.

*If you are in a rush to receive your payment, kindly select the express post option. Please note, we do not cover any additional cost inccured from the express post.

If you are happy with the assessment price, your device payment will be processed ASAP (within 1 - 2 hours)
You will be notified by email, at each stage of the process. 
Alternatively, you are able to receive updates and payment status anytime by logging into your account online.
According to our financial institution (Commbank), first-time payments may take up to 24 hours to clear.
If you haven't received payment 24 hours after it has been initiated, please contact us at

What Model

You can determine your device model using the model number printed on the back of the device.

Alternatively, you can identify the model on the Apple website. To do so, select "Serial Number Check (Apple)" from the header of our website.

Cloud Locks

To remove iCloud from an Apple Device, please refer to Apple's instructions.

Here is the way to turn it off Reactivation Lock from Google’s website.

  • Log into with your Google email address and password.
  • “Under Sign In & Security >” On left of screen - click on “Device Activity And Notifications”.
  • On the right of the screen click “Recent security events” and click on “REVIEW DEVICES”
  • You will now see all devices linked to your Google account.
  • Click on every single device which you want to remove (inc. the one mentioned above) and select REMOVE under account access.

Other Questions

We will only honour the Buy-Back price if you are the rightful owner.
If any product or products turn out to have been reported lost or stolen,
we will not process payment or return the device to you, and the device will be returned to the rightful owner or to the local police station. 
Counterfeit/fake devices sent will be recycled. 
No payment will be made and the device will not be returned.

To expedite the processing of your sell order, we kindly ask you to describe the device's condition according to our condition guidelines. These guidelines are provided when you make a selection for the condition.

If the received device's condition does not match your description, our team will send you a revised offer. If you are not satisfied with the revised price, we will return your device to you at no cost.

Please be aware that return costs are increasing every 6 months. To help us serve you better, we hope you'll provide an accurate description of your device's condition. This will minimise the need for any potential returns.

We do not return any SIM cards or hard drives containing personal data.

Please ensure you remove the SIM card before sending us your device.
Your device will be securely wiped using our proprietary software.

All materials received by ManMade Cycle undergo data erasure in compliance with the non-reversible DoD 5220.22 standard. Devices that are non-functional are recycled and processed in line with Australian national and state laws, adhering to environmentally responsible practices to prevent e-waste from ending up in landfills.

If you wish to obtain a data erasure certificate, our team can assist you. Please be aware that the data erasure certificate has a fee of $30, which will be deducted from the Asset Buyback value.
